River Classes and Courses

Whitewater School

Dates: April 23 – 28

Cost: $1000

Whitewater School will teach you the basics to paddle guiding. You will learn everything from reading water, running rapids, rigging a raft, safety, river rescue and trip planning. By the end of the week you’ll be comfortable with Class III whitewater and Class IV-.

Swift Water Rescue

Dates: June 26 – 28

Cost: $275

“Internationally recognized water rescue certification that is written for Professional BOATERS, by Professional BOATERS. It is a fast paced, scenario based course designed to develop the ability to choose good actions when a river rescue is necessary.”

Wilderness First Aid

Dates: Not scheduled for 2018

Cost: $

While we are not hosting a NOLS program this season, you can find plenty of WFA listings on their website. Other options to a WFA include a Wilderness First Responder (WFR), which expands the scope of the certificate. We typically run this certificate in May or June.
